Kaiwa Echo does not collect, store, or transmit any user data. The app is a chat-style English learning tool that processes Japanese text and voice entirely on-device. There are no servers, no analytics, no advertising, no accounts.
None. Kaiwa Echo does not collect personal information, usage analytics, crash reports, location, contacts, photos, advertising identifiers, or any other form of data.
The following data is stored only on your device (in iOS UserDefaults and SwiftData containers) and never leaves it:
1. Your chat history (messages you typed and the translations returned).
2. Your bookmarked phrases (up to 100 entries).
3. Theme preference and consecutive-day streak counter.
You can clear your chat history anytime from Settings, and you can delete bookmarks individually from the bookmark list. Uninstalling the app removes all local data.
Kaiwa Echo requests two permissions, both optional and only used when you actively tap the microphone button:
Microphone — used solely to capture your Japanese voice so it can be transcribed to text for translation. Microphone audio is processed in memory only and discarded the moment recording stops. The audio is never saved or transmitted.
Speech Recognition — used to convert your Japanese voice into Japanese text. The app requests on-device recognition (requiresOnDeviceRecognition = true) whenever the device supports it, so the audio does not leave the device. Both permissions can be revoked at any time in Settings > Privacy & Security.
No other permissions (camera, photos, location, contacts, Bluetooth, etc.) are requested.
Translation is performed using Apple's Translation framework (iOS 18+), which runs entirely on the device after the required language pack has been downloaded by iOS. Your input text is never sent to any server by this app.
Kaiwa Echo does not perform any network communication of its own. It does not load remote content, fetch updates from any server, or send any data outside the device. The app works fully without an internet connection (after the initial iOS-provided language pack download for the Translation framework).
Kaiwa Echo does not integrate any third-party SDKs, analytics tools, or advertising networks. The app uses only Apple's first-party frameworks (SwiftUI, SwiftData, AVFoundation, Speech, Translation, Foundation).
Kaiwa Echo is rated 4+ and is suitable for all ages. Because the app does not collect any data, no special considerations are required under children's privacy regulations such as COPPA or GDPR-K.
If this privacy policy changes in a future version of the app, the updated policy will be published at this URL. Material changes will be noted at the top of this page along with the new revision date.

ありません。「会話エコー」は個人情報、利用統計、クラッシュレポート、位置情報、連絡先、写真、広告識別子など、いかなるデータも収集しません。
以下の情報は お客様の端末内のみ (iOS の UserDefaults および SwiftData コンテナ) に保存され、端末外には一切送信されません:
1. チャット履歴 (入力された日本語と返ってきた英訳)
2. ブックマーク登録されたフレーズ (最大 100 件)

チャット履歴は設定画面からいつでも消去でき、ブックマークは履歴画面から個別に削除できます。アプリをアンインストールするとすべての端末内データが消去されます。
「会話エコー」は 2 つのパーミッションを要求しますが、いずれもマイクボタンをタップして音声入力を使う場合のみ必要です:
マイク — 日本語音声をテキストに変換するためにのみ使用します。マイク音声はメモリ上で処理され、録音停止と同時に破棄されます。音声がディスクに保存されたり、送信されることは一切ありません。
音声認識 — 日本語音声を日本語テキストに変換するために使用します。本アプリは端末が対応している場合 オンデバイス処理 (requiresOnDeviceRecognition = true) を要求するため、音声データは端末外に出ません。両パーミッションは 設定 > プライバシーとセキュリティ からいつでも取り消せます。
その他のパーミッション (カメラ、写真、位置情報、連絡先、Bluetooth など) は一切要求しません。
翻訳は Apple の Translation framework (iOS 18 以降) を使用しています。これは iOS が言語パックをダウンロードした後は端末上で完全に動作します。入力テキストが本アプリからサーバへ送信されることはありません。
「会話エコー」自体はネットワーク通信を一切行いません。リモートからのコンテンツ読み込み、サーバからの更新取得、外部へのデータ送信のいずれも発生しません。Translation framework の言語パック初回ダウンロード (iOS が実施) を除き、インターネット接続なしで完全に動作します。
「会話エコー」にはサードパーティ SDK、アナリティクスツール、広告ネットワークは一切組み込まれていません。Apple の純正フレームワーク (SwiftUI、SwiftData、AVFoundation、Speech、Translation、Foundation) のみを使用しています。
「会話エコー」は 4+ 区分で全年齢向けです。一切のデータを収集しないため、COPPA や GDPR-K 等の児童プライバシー関連法令に関する特別な配慮は不要です。
本プライバシーポリシーが将来のアプリバージョンで変更される場合、更新版を本 URL で公開します。重要な変更はページ冒頭に新しい更新日とともに記載します。
